Stefan Sagmeister

Throughout some of my sillohette/cut out pieces within my sketchbook, I have monoprinted and written some words that link to decay that are shown coming through the cut out and I have also written on top of a physical image with similar words to link to the emotion behind decay and the range of different meaning behind it.

This idea links to the artist who is Stefen Sagmeister:

The words represent emotions and this is extremely meaningful within my project, in terms of decay and youth/old. To link personally to my project, this links in extremely well with the piece that I have hand written words onto acetate and then placed on top of my grandad image. I have added parts of the shakespeare poem onto the acetate to link in the the decay side of my project, linking in also with the personal elements of my project.
