Throughout the later stages of my project, I started to experiment with different final piece trails, using line drawings. The images that I used were the images that I took previous to this, which feature within the decay images post, Decay Images, and I wanted to trail some different ideas:
Above are the line drawings that I produced using these images:
I wanted to investigate the ideas that I had planned and trial them using the images the primary images that I had previously taken and my knowledge about how helpful line drawings can be to produce a possible final composition. The main thing that I wanted to know from this was whether the images that i'd taken worked well together and I feel like they do. They capture the difference between young/old, according to Levi Strauss's binary opposites, the images clearly show a conflict between young/old, meaning that there is a clear difference between the images and the meanings behind them, as the image of the grandad clearly holds more experience, with his wrinkles possibly holding numerous stories behind them. According to Mark Twain, "Wrinkles merely indicate where smiles have been", suggesting there is clear time lapse between the images, as Grandad has had longer to smile.
My next step is to refine my ideas further to create a digitally enhanced piece from these original line drawings.
