Oil Painting

I have decided to complete an oil painting, using the old man image that I first found to use in photoshop, as I feel like by doing an oil painting of this image, it will really show through the wrinkles and the face impurities in a lot of detail:

 

Above is my chosen image (right) and on the left is my interpretation of the image and that is what I have produced using oil. I feel that oil was the right material to use as it allows the wrinkles on the face to be depicted. Also, the man who I have painted is a man who also has projects about decay and he researches into scatology, basically a study into mess, which links in fantastically to my theme of decay.
